What is Advent? 
​During Advent, we prepare for, and anticipate, the coming of Christ. We remember the longing of Jews for a Messiah and our own longing for, and need of, forgiveness, salvation and a new beginning. Even as we look back and celebrate the birth of Jesus in a humble stable in Bethlehem, we also look forward anticipating the second coming of Christ as the fulfillment of all that was promised by his first coming. Learn more.

Journey Deeper This Advent

• Advent Text List: Receive a daily text message with a reading & reflection for the day. Text @mumcadvent to 81010.
• Weekly Devotional: Pick up a free devotional booklet on Sunday with a weekly reading. Have a special dinner once a week to light Advent candles. There are five of them and you light a new one each week!
• Advent Calendar: Pick up your own calendar at church with a possible activity each day of Advent. 
• Download + print a weekly coloring sheet for kids and adults alike! Week One  |  Week Two  |   Week Three  |  Week Four   |   Christmas
• Attend the Christmas Concert on Saturday, December 15 at 7:00pm in our sanctuary. A beautiful night of music will help connect you to the wonder of this season!
• Experience worship on Sunday mornings. Pastor Jenny and Pastor Tanya will share a message each Sunday of Advent that grounds us in hope, peace, joy and love.
• Attend our Longest Night Service on Friday, December 21 at 7:00pm in our sanctuary. For those who are ready to celebrate the light returning and those for whom Christmas is a difficult time, this experience will be comforting and meaningful.
