Ministry and Mission
Marysville United
Methodist Church is a congregation committed to our youth and
young adults. We believe in the importance of educating and
nurturing our children in the principles of Christian living and
the values of Christian compassion, caring and understanding.
Our focus on children, youth and young
adults is composed of several areas. On Sunday mornings, there
are options for attending Nursery and Sunday School. In
addition, the Youth Group and Young Adult Group provide
spiritual learning in fun and supporting groups with many
functions both in the church and the community.
MUMC also offers the Stable Beginnings
Preschool for young children to develop solid socialization
experienced in a well rounded Christian belief curriculum. For
older children and youth, the church has teamed with the Boy
Scouts of America in sponsoring Cub Scout Pack 100 for second
grade children and up; and Boy Scout Troop 100 for youth in the
6th grade or at least 11 years of age.

Safe Church Policy
For all people who work with our children and youth, including Sunday school teachers, nursery workers, volunteers with our youth program, a commitment to MUMC’s Safe Church Policy is required. Please read and review our policy for creating a safe environment for children at our church.
Caryn Young is MUMC’s Safe Church Policy Coordinator. As a family nurse practitioner who works at Providence Everett Sexual Assault Center, she has a unique insight into the subject. We will continue to have training throughout the year on “Keeping Children Safe from Sexual Abuse”. Please watch the bulletins and newsletters for the next training. If you have questions or suggestions about the policy at any time, please feel free to contact either Caryn Young or Anne Rodeheaver through the church office.
