Dr. Thomas Albright -
Pastor
As pastor and primary teacher at Marysville United Methodist Church, I am responsible for leading a wonderful congregation into spiritual maturity and compassionate service to the world.
I have been a United Methodist pastor for over thirty five years, serving churches across the State of Washington and as the Superintendent
of the Vancouver District in our Pacific Northwest Annual Conference.

My wife Carol is a special education teacher in Arlington and together
we have three wonderful sons. Josh is a full-time Sergeant in the
Washington National Guard in Vancouver, WA, and and is married to SungJa. They are also the parents of our
grandsons Bodhi,Dylan, Cayden and newest granddaughter Payten. Seth is a Fire Fighter in Everett and married to Christine who is a nurse in the Fred Hutcheson
section of the University of Washington Hospital. Their son Cameron and daughter Rachel keep life intertesting. Geoff is Regional Manager at ARI-Hectra, selling heavy equipment, and also Youth Director at Cedar Cross Umited Methodist Church in Mill Creek. Geoff and his wife Katie are parents of Xander.
My hobbies are fly fishing and woodworking and working as a Police and Fire Chaplain in Marysville and chairing the Kenya Methodist University Development Association. Carol and I together love movies…although often of different types so we often stretch each others viewing habits.

Vickie Evensen -
Pastor's Assistant
 Vickie began her new assignment as
Assistant to the Pastor in July 2005. She is responsible for coordinating large church events and will assist pastor Tom with pastoral visits to the elderly and sick. She has been a member since 1987 and became Directory of Children's Ministries in 1998. Vickie
lives in north Marysville. She is married to Ron and they have
4 children; one grown and married daughter and 3 school-age children. Vickie loves to read and cook. Baseball season
is her favorite time of the year and the Evensen family enjoys

Hanna Rhee - Director of Youth Ministry
Hanna recently graduated from Candler School of Theology at Emory University with a Master’s degree in Divinity. She moved from Atlanta, Georgia to Marysville, WA in June 2009 and has prior Northwest experience living in Oregon for 6 years during her high school and college years. She is now serving as our new Youth pastor at Marysville UMC. During her free time, Hanna enjoys watching movies, cooking with friends, having a cup of vanilla latte, hanging out with youth group, and listening to the music of United Hillsong, Shane & Shane, and Chris Tomlin.

Randee Ply -
Church Secretary
 Randee has been the church secretary since September of 1999.
She and her husband have 5 children. In her spare time Randee enjoys
reading and gardening. You can reach Randee at the church office

Judy Sjerven -
Director of Music
Judy
Sjerven, Director of Music Ministries, earned her degree in
Music Education with emphasis in voice and conducting, from
San Diego State. She grew up Methodist and has served in
Methodist, Presbyterian, United Church of Christ, and
Lutheran churches in Minnesota and California. Judy taught
public school music several years and has also directed
community choirs. She was recently named director of the
Shelter Bay Chorus in La Conner, where she resides. After
attending a pastel painting workshop the summer of 2006, she
felt led to move from San Diego to the beautiful Skagit
Valley. She feels very blessed to be on the staff at MUMC
and is looking forward to getting to know many of you as you
participate in music groups. Her prayer is always, “Lord,
