Audio Tape Ministry

Focus: To provide an audio tape of the weekly worship service to people who are unable to attend.
Tapes of all services are available by request either on the weekly registration slip or by
calling the church office. The service is taped by the Sound Engineers and then the Tape Ministry makes the copies.
Commitments: Help with recording audio tapes.

Caring Cooks

Type: Cooks of all ages, races, & genders
Focus: To provide a meal every other day for a week to members of the congregation
at a time of need, such as surgery, death of a loved one, or birth of a child.
Commitments: To provide a main dish, salad & dessert when called upon.

Coffee Hour Team
Contact: Myrna Overstreet
Time: Immediately after Sunday morning worship services
Place: Green Room
Child care: Available during worship service
Type: Open to anyone willing to help
Focus: Prepare coffee, juice, and cookies or other baked goods to serve as
refreshments during the time of fellowship in the Green Room immediately after
both Sunday morning worship services.
Commitments: To show up when agreed upon, set up before and clean up after coffee hour.

Drivers
Contact: Larry Padgett
Focus: Every Sunday dedicated drivers transport folks to Church. These are people who are unable to drive themselves and would not be able to attend church service otherwise. You can participate by being a driver.

Fix-It Group

Focus: To repair things around the church. On occasion make cabinets,
shelving and other improvements as approved by church trustees.

Food
Bank
Contact: Jim Johnson
Place: Church - See collection box in the lobby
Type: Anyone
Focus: The church has a food collection container in the lobby.
Each month, the church collects a new food item to fill the current
need at the Marysville Food Bank.
Commitments: Contact Jim if you want to help collect the food and
deliver to the Food Bank. Drop off your donations at the church
each month.

Gardening Team

Place: Church grounds
Child care: Upon request
Type: Green thumbs (Brown thumbs too!)
Focus: You can sign up to take care of (weed) a plot on the church grounds. If you would like to help with watering the grounds during the hot summer months or the year-round lawn mowing please contact Jack Skaggs. If you would like to help with any large planting or relandscaping projects, please contact Steve Smith.
Commitments: Show up when agreed upon for larger projects and/or maintain your plot as best you can.

Hospitality Team
Contact: Kim and Kass Clark
Focus: A team of people providing hospitality, information, directions, and a warm greeting to people entering the church for worship service. We also provide ushering at the worship service offering time.
Commitments: To work one Sunday a month for one service with a team of about 3 others. Expectations include showing up at least 20 minutes before service begins. We ask that you remain at the door 5 or 10 minutes into the service to greet the late comers. After worship service you should invite people, especially new comers, to the Green room for coffee hour and visit with them if possible.

Lay Readers

Focus: People are encouraged to read scripture at our worship services. This is a great
opportunity to share the good news.

Media Team

Time: Thursday 6:45 - 8:30 pm for set-up and Sunday first service
Place: Church Sanctuary
Child care: Yes
Type: Anyone
Focus: A group of people working with the music team and pastors to produce
the "words up" for music, sermon, and announcements on a weekly basis.
Their goal is to enhance the service with the video and graphics.
Commitments: To show up when agreed upon.

Nursery

Place: Church - Nursery

Type: Children from infant to 3 years
Focus: To provide childcare during worship services on Sunday. Provide
childcare for daytime and evening meetings, Bible Study, and other church
events.
Commitments: To show-up when agreed upon, and be punctual.

Office Volunteers

Focus: Our Church office could not run without our volunteers! They answer phones,
make photocopies, greet newcomers, and offer a warm smile to all they encounter.

Prayer Chain

Focus: If you would like your church family to pray for you or someone you know, call Randee Ply, Church Secretary, in the Church office at 360-659-8521. You can become a member of the prayer chain by calling Marlene Rose at 360-659-6109. She will add your name to one of the call lists and you will be notified when someone is in need of prayer.
Commitments: To pray for the people in need and call the persons on the pray chain you are responsible for.

Senior Dinner

Time: The last Sunday of each month (noon)
Place: Church - Green Room
Child care: If needed for volunteers
Type: Seniors are provided Dinner. Volunteers needed to help cook, setup, serve, and clean-up.
Focus: A monthly fellowship dinner is served family-style to our seniors on
the last Sunday of each month following second service. It's a time for home
cookin', old stories, and fresh laughs. There's no charge, though a free-will
offering is received. Reservations are not required.
Commitments: To show up when agreed upon.

Focus: The goal is to have a team of people interested in working together to further develop
and maintain our new presence on the world wide web. No experience needed,
but people with programming, graphic art and editing experience are very
welcome.

Wedding Coordinating

Focus: The wedding coordinator helps couples plan the details regarding how the church will be used
the day of the wedding and works to accommodate the requests of the couple. On the day of the wedding, the
coordinator takes care of the details from the church's perspective.
