Give, Serve, Grow

Luke 19: 1-10 NRSVUE
Fall is a natural time to look back and reflect on what we’ve been able to do over the last year. As we give thanks, we also prepare for the year to come. In this congregation, everything we do, we do together.
During October, we will focus on how we respond to God’s call to build a community of love together. We give money to make sure the church continues. We serve by rolling up our sleeves and doing tasks that make life better. We grow, always looking for the next right thing to do. Together, when each of us do what we can do, we build a community of love together.
On this first Sunday we welcome Rev. Molly Fraser to the pulpit to tell us about giving. She tells us the story from Luke 19:1-10 about Zacchaeus the Tax Collector an how we can be like him. What it takes to run a church in ministry and why it is important to give so we can continue to be a church in ministry.
