All children are welcome in our worship services. We want you to feel comfortable in bringing your young children to church with you so we give you several options to choose from:

Infants and toddlers up to age 3 are cared for in room 113/114. Greeters can show you where these rooms are located. Please sign your child in. Children are invited to participate in fun, age-focused play. Our nursery and toddler care givers are fully trained and have received background checks according to our Safe Church policy. There is infant and toddler care available at all of our services and daytime and evening meetings, Bible Studies, and other church events.

Children are celebrated by Jesus as well as Marysville United Methodist Church! We know how children love to stay busy, be silly, and play.  So that's what children's ministry looks like here!

Children are regarded as Little Disciples with equal value in our community.  We are deliberately respecting each of those little hearts as we know they already have the capacity of interacting with the Divine. Therefore we structure ourselves with these priorities: to keep your children safe, smiling, and then encourage them to investigate their Savior for themselves.

We have a skilled team of believers who are passionate about making faith come alive in the heart of a child through interactive, age appropriate play and even sneaking in some education.

youth

Youth Group
6-12th grade students gather every other Sunday from 1:00-2:30 pm for Youth Group during the school year. They also gather for Wednesday Night Group from 6:30-7:30 pm.

This Fall we will meet from 1:00-2:30 pm on the following dates. 
  • September 8, Drone Day (1:00-3:00)
  • September 22, Minigame Madness (1:00-2:30)
  • October 6, Jeopardy (1:00-2:30)
  • October 20, Pumpkin Patch (1:00-2:30) *
  • November 3, Spooky Day (1:00-2:30)**
  • November 17, Friendsgiving (1:00-2:30)
  • November 24, Help put together Thanksgiving baskets for families in our community.

sunday mornings

Everyone begins in worship.  After a children's time, kids may go to Kids Club Sunday School.

Sunday Kids Club
Our one classroom model engages kids of all ages in a multi-age classroom with built-in opportunities for older kids to mentor younger kids, enabling them to navigate the story and compare what they learn to their own lives.

We currently use Spark All Kids Curriculum. Each Spark All Kids lesson follows a four-part sequence:

  • Gather – Begin the day by gathering together and trying a warm-up activity
  • Open the Bible – Open Bibles and explore the day’s story
  • Activate Faith – Get moving and become engaged in the story they just read by using their leaflets
  • Experience the Salvation story – Finish with a closing activity and prayer
