Disciple Bible Study
Mondays, 7:00 pm | Hybrid Class
Disciple Fast Track: Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study. This is a hybrid version of the internationally-known, transformative Disciple Bible Study. Millions of people like you have found meaningful, lasting community and spiritual transformation through participating in this study. This study has 24 sessions covering Genesis to Revelation.
This study is easy to understand, and you do not need to know anything about the Bible to participate. There are three commitments: 30 minutes, five days a week of reading and video assignments; participation in community discussion threads; and joining your small group in 1.5 hour weekly meetings. All the resources will be on a provided accessible app on your phone, tablet, or computer. You’ll develop deep friendships with your study group of 8 - 15 people as you all grow in faith together.
Pastors Tom and Meredith will team teach this Disciple Bible Study. The group will meet on Monday evenings at 7 pm, by Zoom three weeks a month and in person for one week. If you have any questions, please reach out to Pastor Tom at firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope you’ll join us for this life changing experience!

Mary & Martha’s Group
Tuesdays 9-10:30 am | Room 142
M&M’s is a women’s group that meets on Tuesday mornings for spiritual growth and fellowship. We have used a variety of book studies to guide us and newcomers are welcome! Please call Nancy Stokes or Mary Stiles if you need more information.
This Lent we have decided to re-visit an old Lenten Adam Hamilton study we did way back in 2009. It is called, “24 Hours That Changed the World”. This is a 7 week study that Adam filmed in Jerusalem. The video is fantastic and the book walks us from the last supper to the resurrection! Even if you did this study 15 years ago, I hope you will join us for new discussion and new insights. There are 5-6 copies available in the library if you’d like to borrow one….first come first served! :). WBecause it is seven weeks long we have decided to begin this study on TUESDAY, MARCH 5th. So we will take a one week break after we finish our study of Doubt before we begin “24 hours”.

Mid Week Dinner & Studies
Wednesdays through Lent 6:00 pm
We're looking forward to our Lenten Dinner and Study groups! Beginning Feb. 21, dinner begins at 6:00 pm and study groups start at 6:30 pm. We're planning on four study groups: Kid's Club, Youth Group, and three adult classes. Pastor Meredith will be teaching a class using Richard Foster's Celebrations of Discipline. Some of our retired pastors are also putting together a class and Pastor Tanya will offer a class called Grief in Common. Come make new friends, join with old ones, and be nourished in body and spirit by God's community.
Spiritual Practices Workshop led by Pastor Meredith
Wednesdays | 6:30 pm | Green Room
Do you wish you were calmer, more confident, more hopeful, and less susceptible to being pushed around by the whims of life? A deeper faith can lead you to those things, but how do we cultivate a deeper faith? Like anything else in life, it comes down to behavior over time. During Lent, Pastor Meredith will help us explore spiritual practices and how to incorporate them into our lives. We’ll be using Richard Foster’s classic book Celebrations of Discipline. The book will be very helpful, but not completely necessary. You can find it on amazon and Cokesbury. Join us beginning Feb. 21 at 6:30 pm.
Grief in Common, Led by Pastor Tanya
Wednesdays | 6:30 pm | Room 143
We all experience loss at one time or another. It can be a difficult season to navigate. If you have recently experienced a loss of job, loss of health, the loss of a loved one, or if you are a caregiver anticipating loss, please consider joining the discussion group “Grief in Common.” There are no easy answers and the path is not linear, but being in community with one another lightens our collective load. These are difficult topics and we will explore our experiences together with love and lots of grace and compassion. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Tanya: email@example.com or (214) 923-0324.
A House Divided: Engaging the Issues through the Politics of Compassion, Led by Judy Jewell and Bill Gordon
Wednesdays | 6:30 pm | Room 142
In our current culture of conflict and divide, we need a better way of relating to each other and responding to today’s controversial issues—a way that transcends political partisanship to emphasize human care, mutual concern, and the flourishing of the common good. In this study, using a book of the same above title by Mark Feldmeir, we will explore how a “politics of compassion” can help us find shared values on some of today’s most divisive issues such as climate change, racism, immigration, health care, and others. The book, A House Divided: Engaging the Issues though the Politics of Compassion, is available through Amazon for $10.50, which you can order yourself, or if you let us know as soon as possible, we can order it for the class for you.
1st and 3rd Thursdays, 12:30 to 2 | Room 120
Our group is currently discussing the same book Pastor Meredith is using, We Make the Road by Walking. We spend a few minutes catching up with one another, take turns facilitating discussion of the topic of the chapter. Share prayer requests, stay in contact during the week as needs arise. All are welcome to join.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly)
Fridays @ 10 am | Green Room
TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is an international organization started in 1948 with local chapters. Our chapter has a policy of being positive in everything we do and it has been operating since 2014. We are a tight knit group (like petals on a flower - we're called "Petal Pals) but friendly and welcoming to new members. We support and encourage one another on our journey to losing weight and getting healthier. We meet in the Green Room on Friday mornings at 10 (or between 9:20 and 9:50 for optional weigh-in). We start our meeting with a check-in from each attendee, have a program on a health-related topic presented by a member and finish up by 11. We play games and have contests, having fun as we learn how to navigate this road. National dues are $37 annually plus a $5 monthly chapter fee but you can check us out for free any Friday morning We'd love to see you and welcome you into our "bouquet".
